Every delivery you complete earns you a fixed amount based on distance and parcel type. Your earnings are tracked in real time inside the Relay Rider app — you can see exactly what you have earned after every job. Payouts go directly to your M-Pesa every week, with no deductions or surprises. The more deliveries you do, the more you earn — it is that straightforward.

You can deliver with a motorcycle or a car — whichever you own and are licensed to drive. Motorcycles work best for most deliveries in Nairobi and Kilifi given traffic, but cars are welcome especially for larger parcels. You must have a valid licence for the vehicle you use and current insurance cover.

Once you are verified and online in the app, delivery jobs are sent directly to your phone. You will see the pickup location, the drop-off address, and the estimated earnings before you accept. If a job does not suit you, you can decline — though maintaining a healthy acceptance rate helps you get more jobs.

No. Relay is fully flexible. You can do one delivery a week or ten a day — it is entirely up to you. There are no minimum hours, no shift requirements, and no penalties for going offline. You work when you want.

The Relay app has built-in support for common issues — wrong address, customer not available, damaged parcel. For anything else, our support team is reachable directly through the app or by calling our Relay support line. You are never left to handle problems alone.

Once you submit your documents through the app — national ID, driver's licence, and insurance — our team reviews and verifies you within 24 hours. You will receive a notification the moment you are approved and ready to start earning.
